Selected as the lightest Long Handled bat I could find anywhere on t’internet, thus enabling me to at least essay the odd attempt at one of my two shots – the Cut. Unfortunately I don’t recall looking anywhere near as graceful when playing it as this:

Purchased by the wife for my birthday back in 2007 it’s now (in 2009), almost, knocked in. Which says quite a bit about the amount of time I’ve spent at the crease over the last few seasons…
The wife has taken to calling it ‘The Accessory’ which appears to have stuck, at least until we start flaying the attacks of Lincolnshire to all corners of Rase Park, at least.
